How to cook soy with Noxxa pressure cooker
After Festive season like Eid, Christmas, Deepavali, Chinese New year, Gawai and etc, many people must worry about their shape. Especially ladies. One of the more aggressive diets to lose weight is the one that uses only soybeans.
Not many people know that soybeans have many benefits and are said to be complete with the nutrients needed for the day. if we look at the label of famous and expensive slimming products, the product is usually based on soy with some additional multivitamin . So instead of spending a lot of money for a pack that can stand for only a few weeks, I think it's better to buy soybeans directly from the store and cook them at home.
This time I want to share how to cook or boil soy using a Noxxa pressure cooker.
First take a handful of soybeans and soak them overnight. Usually a handful of soybeans is enough for one day's soy supply.
Soybeans contain a high concentration of Phytic Acid (phytate). Phytic Acid is one of the most common types of antinutrients—found in seeds, nuts, legumes, and grains. Because many antinutrients are water-soluble, they only dissolve when food is soaked. In legumes, the soaking process was found to reduce phytate, protease inhibitors, lectins, tannins and calcium oxalate.
Put water triple the amount of soy. After eight hours you will notice that the soybeans have become larger.
Throw away the soaking water because it contains the anti-nutrients we mentioned earlier. Add new water, only this time you don't need a lot. It is enough if the water level is same height of the soybeans. Add a teaspoon of salt then.
Then press the high pressure button 6 times and close the high pressure valve.
Once the time is up, now your soy is ready to eat. Think of it as boiled groundnut that you buy on street., only this one is healthier.
